BAY MINETTE, AL (WALA) -

We are continuing to follow a story we reported as breaking news Saturday night on FOX10 News.

Two people were hurt in a shooting and hit and run outside a convenience store in Bay Minette.

One person has been arrested and the search is on for another person.

Bay Minette Police say 22 year old Nathaniel K Johnson has been arrested on second degree assault charges.

Police say they answered a call last night shortly before 6 pm of a shooting in the parking lot of V & B Food Mart in the 700 block of South Highway 31.

They say the shooting resulted from an ongoing feud.

Police Chief Al Tolbert said, "Two individuals pulled firearms, handguns, on one another. One individual was shot in the wrist at V & B Food Mart."

Tolbert said the man say who did the shooting started chasing the victim.

Police tape closed off a large area.

Authorities said the chase came across a street and ended at the ABC Beverages Store.

Tolbert said, "Once they fled over here to the ABC Store, the victim went inside the ABC Store, at which time the clerk got in front of the individual with a gun and one of the patrol officers pulled up and took him in custody."

What's more, police also say there was a hit and run connected to the shooting.

Tolbert said, "There was another individual that was being chased by a vehicle, chased that individual around behind the ABC Store, back out on to Highway 31, where that individual was run over by the car in front of V&B Food Mart."

Police said that man has a leg injury.

They said both he and the man shot in the wrist were taken to USA Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they are continuing to look for a small white SUV in the hit and run but they don't know the make and model.

They did say surveillance video has proven very helpful in the investigation.

Police also said they have recovered two guns.

They have not released the names if the two victims, but say they expect to release more information Monday.
