FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A Franklin County deputy fell down an embankment while chasing a suspect on foot Tuesday.

Police said deputies were called to a home in the 4000 block of Little Tavern Road for an investigation. Authorities learned someone wanted on outstanding warrants was inside the house.

When officers arrived, Bobby Joe Pedrotti, 49, ran out of the house into nearby woods. As the deputies gave chase, a deputy and Pedrotti fell down a steep embankment. The deputy then took Pedrotti into custody.

Police say Pedrotti was wanted on a probation violation, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic warrants.

Authorities say they are seeking charges for assault on a law enforcement officer, property damage, and resisting arrest.
