South County gas station robbed early morning Tuesday

SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

A gas station robbery is under investigation after a man got away with an undisclosed amount of money.  

During the early morning hours of Tuesday, St. Louis County Police officers from the South County Precinct responded to the Circle K located at 1940 Union Rd. for a robbery.

An investigation revealed the suspect entered the gas station around 1:30 a.m. Authorities say he grabbed a bag of candy and waited for other customers to leave the store.

The suspect then approached the clerk and gave her the bag of Skittles as he pretended to purchase the candy.

While handing the cashier the candy, the suspect also pulled out a gun and demanded the money from the register.

Police say he was given an undetermined amount of money and immediately ran out the store.

The suspect was last seen heading north.

No employees were injured in this robbery.

This incident is under investigation by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.
