EAST ALTON, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

The East Alton Fire Department is used to saving people from fires and other dangers but on Monday night they faced one of their oddest rescues yet: saving a teenager who was stuck in a child-size swing.

In a Facebook post from the East Alton Fire Department, firefighters responded to a call saying someone was stuck in swing at Van Preter Park. Upon arrival, a teenager was found stuck in a child-size swing. Firefighters removed the swing from the chains and freed the embarrassed, uninjured teen.

Later in the post, firefighters went on to say, “Today’s PSA: if you’re not a child, you shouldn’t try to use the child-size swing, even if your friend dares you to.”
