Blues trade St. Louis native Stastny to Winnipeg

The St. Louis Blues have traded Paul Stastny to the Winnipeg Jets.

Stastny, a St. Louis native, was in his fourth season with the Blues scoring 40 points in 63 games played with the club so far this 2017-2018 season.

The Blues receive a conditional first round pick in 2018, a conditional fourth round pick in 2020 and Jets' prospect Erik Foley.  

Foley, 20, is a Mansfield, Massachusetts native and former World Juniors teammate of Blues forward Tage Thompson. The two won the gold medal for team USA at the 2017 World Junior Championship. 

The trade deadline is at 2 p.m. local time February 26.
