ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Two suspects are on the loose after a bi-state police chase overnight.

Officers in the Metro East began pursuing the suspect vehicle, which had three people inside, after they refused to stop. The suspect vehicle then led police over the Poplar Street Bridge, south on Interstate 55 and through streets in St. Louis City. The car eventually stopped on Michigan near Potomac in south St. Louis around 12:25 a.m. Monday.

When the chase ended, a driver and two passengers got out and began running. A 16-year-old passenger in the vehicle was taken into custody of Dupo, Illinois officers. After being taken into custody, she was transported to an area hospital because there was blood on her face.

The Illinois State Police Department is handling the investigation.

No other details regarding the at-large suspects have been released.
