TULSA, Okla. (KTUL/CNN) -- A liquor store clerk shot a robbery suspect in east Tulsa on Thursday during a violent  attack.

Police responded to Forest Acres Liquor around 6 p.m. after receiving a calling about a person shot during a robbery.

When police arrived, the clerk and another woman told officers they shot a man twice.

Surveillance video shows the man entering the store and pointing a gun at the clerk behind the cash register.

The man is seen taking cash from the register and exiting from camera’s view.

KTUL reports the women pulled out guns from under the counter and began pointing at the suspect.

The video shows the man entering back into the liquor store as one of the clerks began firing several shots at him.

Images show the suspect struggling with one of the clerks over her gun near the register.

The second woman is seen firing at the robber again before he left the store.

The women were not injured during the struggle but one clerk was checked for a head injury, according to KTUL.

Police said the man showed up at area hospital and is in critical condition.
