(Meredith) -- A 911 caller reported seeing a man ride a horse on a freeway in California. When highway patrol responded to the call, they found Luis Alfredo Perez riding his white Arabian horse on 91 freeway at about 1 a.m. Saturday morning. He was arrested for driving under the influence.
So a horse walks onto the 91 freeway...no joke. Rider arrested by CHP for DUI in the greater Long Beach area. Don’t put yourself, your beautiful animal, or others in danger of being killed in traffic.
The official account also replied to its tweet saying,
We get a chuckle out of the interesting situations we encounter from time to time, but one thing the CHP does not do is “horse” around with DUI.
A California Highway Patrol official told KTLA Perez's mother quickly came to the scene very quickly and the horse, named Guera, was released to her custody. Perez was booked into jail at around 3 a.m. and according to KTLA, the report read, "DUI on a horse."
