St. Charles County fugitive arrested in Memphis for 16 sex crimes

ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

A man wanted by the St. Charles County Police Department for 16 separate sex crimes was arrested Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee.

Fugitive Christopher Lawrence was wanted for one count of First Degree Child Molestation, two counts of First Degree Statutory Sodomy, five counts of Second Degree Statutory Sodomy, six counts of Second Degree Statutory Rape and two counts of Second Degree Rape.

Police said when it was known that Lawrence was in the Memphis area, the U.S. Marshals Eastern Missouri Regional Fugitive Task Force teamed up with the Memphis task force to locate Lawrence.

Lawrence was tracked to a business and arrested.

Lawrence is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail.
