ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

First Lady Sheena Greitens spoke at Washington University hours after her husband was indicted.

Dozens of students showed up to the event which focused on North Korean refugees and those who help them. Sheena Greitens' visit included a 45-minute presentation and 25 minutes of questions and answers.

A spokesman for the university said Greitens arrived at the school early even though her husband was wrapping up his booking photo at the St. Louis Justice Center. Around 80 people listened to the First Lady speak.

One student said the lecture was interesting but dry. Another said there some intensity in the room but appreciated the talk focused on North Korea and not the governor.

“She was very calm and collected. I really appreciate she was able to separate her personal life and her academic career,” said student Julia Greensfelder.

Greensfelder also commented on the elephant in the room.

“I feel for her. She is an admirable woman. I think she is doing everything in her power to reflect well on what her husband claims to stand for and what she stands for,” Greensfelder said.

Some people told News 4 while they appreciated that Sheena Greitens didn’t talk about the governor, they said they would like to see more transparency at another time.
