BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

A Belleville man is facing charges for allegedly possessing child porn.

Michael Roussel, 23, is charged with one count of dissemination of child pornography, 5 counts of possession child pornography photos and 2 counts of possessing child pornography videos.

Police started investigating after a suspicious Craigslist post. Officers searched his home on Tuesday and found electronic devices with images and videos of child porn.

All of the victims were younger than 13.

Police said Roussel has worked with children in the past. He worked as a martial arts instructor for the past six years, working with kids at S.I.M.S. Martial Arts and Fitness Academy, and worked at the Goddard School for child development in Shiloh.

Roussel also worked more than 4 years as a part time, seasonal employee at the O'Fallon YMCA. According to Gateway Region YMCA vice president Laurie Mc Tearnen.

"He had passed all his background screenings as well we have had been no allegations regarding him," said Mc Tearnen.

Authorities are encouraging parents who enrolled their children at Roussel's former places of employment to speak to their children if they had any contact with him. It is not clear if he had inappropriate contact with any children.

Authorities do not know if Roussel produced the images himself.

He is being held on a $750,000 bond.
