ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

Police arrested a home invasion suspect after he led them on a chase in St. Charles County Wednesday.

Police said 50-year-old, Danny Lavern Young broke into a home in the 900 Apricot around 4:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they saw a woman with lacerations on her neck and another man fleeing from the house. Young was chasing them with a knife.

Young then went inside the house and barricaded himself when officers confronted him, police said.

Young then stole the victim’s car and led officers on a chase into eastern St. Charles County.

Officers used stop sticks to get his car to stop. He was arrested near the intersection of Highway 94 and Klinghammer Road near Portage Des Sioux.

The woman and a 34-year-old man were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Young is being held at the St. Charles County jail on charges of first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, first-degree burglary, stealing a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and violation of protection order. Young's bond has been set at $500,000.
