Alton teen killed in crash had just left work, police say

ALTON, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

Madison County officials have identified an Alton, Illinois high school student that died following a motor vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

Trinity M. Buel, 17, had just gotten off work at the Alton Steak ‘n Shake when she was involved in a two vehicle crash at Homer Adams Parkway and Buckmaster Lane.

Buel was a passenger in her own car, a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, that had been traveling westbound on Homer Adams and was attempting to turn southbound on Buckmaster. Her Jeep was struck by a 2005 Cadallic SRX that was eastbound on Homer Adams.

The death remains under investigation by the Alton Police Department.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
