NORMANDY (KMOV.com) -

The Normandy Police Department is warning about a robber who claims to be someone selling a cellphone on the LetGo app who robbed three people on Sunday. Investigators say in one of the robberies, the victim was shot.

Lois Powell said she witnessed the shooting from the parking lot of the apartments where she lives in the 8500 block of Bermuda Drive.

"And I just happened to glance over and saw this guy leaning in a red van," said Powell.

Powell said the van was across the street in the parking lot of Bermuda Elementary School.

"And I saw the guy had his arm outstretched and I hear a shot and the car takes off and the guy's running down the street," said Powell.

According to police, the victim wasn't seriously hurt.

Powell describes the robber as an African-American male in his late teens or early 20's and was wearing red sweatpants and a dark gray hoodie.

Normandy Police are reminding anyone who is buying or selling something, to make the face-to-face transaction in a safe zone, like a police department parking lot.
