SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A fire broke out in an apartment building in South St. Louis City Saturday afternoon.

No one was injured.

The apartment building is in the 4200 block of Nebraska Ave.

St. Louis Fire Department said on Twitter the fire was on the third floor of the four-story building and started in a kitchen.

Preliminary investigation suggests cigarette ashes were improperly disposed of, according to the fire department.
