ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

The controversial traffic balls in the Tower Grove East neighborhood are now getting love with hearts being placed on these structures for decoration.

At the intersection of Compton and Shenandoah, several structures are covered in hearts with Mardi Gras decorations and one with a mustache.

“I’m glad that there’s some happiness coming from the controversy and that’s what I’m choosing to focus on,” said Jeanna Jackon, a local business owner.

The traffic balls were put in a few months ago to slow down traffic.
