NORTH ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A St. Louis City firefighter was taken to the hospital after being burned while fighting a vacant house fire in North St. Louis.

The fire broke out just after 10 p.m. Friday on Ridge Ave. near Dr. Martin Luther King Dr.

Crews worked for several hours to get the fire under control.

Authorities said no one else was injured in the fire.
