ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

The St. Charles Police Department has arrested a 28-year-old man for having possession of multiple pipe bombs Friday.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Whetstone Dr to investigate a possible violation of a protection order just after 6:30 p.m.

The suspect, identified as Anthony Tocco, was taken into custody by deputies after agreeing to voluntarily meet with them near the area of Town West Dr. and Santa Fe St. in St. Charles.

As the officers were towing Tocco’s vehicle that was left at the scene, four homemade pipe bombs were located inside.

The St. Charles County Police Bomb Squad responded to the scene and seized the pipe bombs.

Tocco is facing charges of one count of unlawful possession of an illegal weapon and violation of an order of protection.

His cash-only bond is set at $50,000.
