NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

St. Louis police are investigating a triple shooting that took place after a robbery in Riverview around 4 p.m. Thursday.

Police say a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man robbed a 22-year-old man who was sitting in his vehicle, a Nissan Altima.

According to police, after the robbery, the two suspects fled the scene in their Hyundai Sonata. Shortly after they left, the robbery victim chased the suspects down Broadway. Police say this eventually lead to the victim crashing his car into the suspects' vehicle near the 8800 block of North Broadway.

Following the crash, police believe the three men involved exited their cars and began shooting at each other.

According to police, the three men were transported to a hospital with serious injuries. One of the robbery suspects was left with gunshot wounds in his leg and back and is in critical, unstable condition as of Friday afternoon. The other robbery suspect had gunshot wounds to his legs and is listed as stable. The victim of the robbery was left with a gunshot wound to his left thigh and his condition is listed as stable.

The investigation further revealed that the vehicle operated by the two suspects, the Hyundai Sonata, was reported stolen from St. Louis County on January 17.
