Mother paralyzed in police-involved shooting files lawsuit

NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

A mother of two who was shot during a police-involved shooting at a St. Louis apartment complex is suing apartment management.

Tamara Collier filed a lawsuit naming McCormack Baron Management and Cochran Redevelopment Phase Two as defendants.

Collier believes the management was negligent and liable after the accused shooter was banned from the property, but was found there when Collier was shot.

Collier was paralyzed from the neck down in the shooting.

News 4 is awaiting a response from the defendants.
