ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

St. Louis' first Rush Bowls will open in March in the Central West End.

The Colorado-based franchise plans to open three locations throughout St. Louis. The casual restaurant serves smoothie like "meals-in-a-bowl," made with fruit, topped with granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients.

The new spot will open at 227 N, Euclid in the Central West End neighborhood by a husband and wife team.

“The demand for a health-focused, vibrant, quick-service restaurant was evident in St. Louis – we’re so pleased to have the opportunity to connect with those in the St. Louis community who, like us, are passionate about healthy and delicious food," said Ken Morone.

Customers can choose from over 30 signature bowls or all-natural smoothies made with fruit, yogurt or acai.

They hope to open two other locations in Midtown and The Loop.
