ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo., (KMOV.com) -- The St. Charles County Police Department is asking for help finding two suspects in connection with two carjackings in West Alton Tuesday afternoon.

Police said two male suspects allegedly stole a grey Toyota Avalon at the intersection of Highway 67 and Highway 94 shortly before noon. After taking the vehicle, the suspects ran a red light and T-boned a white Chrysler 300 while speeding on southbound on Highway 67.

When the suspects crashed, multiple people stopped to help the drivers. The suspects abandoned the stolen vehicle and offered those witnesses money to help them get away.

The suspects then stole a grey 2016 Dodge Ram pickup with Illinois license plates from a Good Samaritan who stopped to help. According to police, the suspects threatened to kill the man if he didn’t hand over his vehicle.

The suspects were last seen traveling southbound on Highway 67 towards St. Louis County.

One person was transported to a local hospital following the crash. Their condition remains unknown.

Police said both suspects appeared to be in their 20’s but one of the men was wearing a black baseball hat with a star imprinted on it and a gray long sleeve shirt.

The other suspect was wearing black nylon pants with a blue stripe. The man appeared to be injured in the crash and was walking with a limp, authorities said.

Anyone with information on this incident or the suspects’ whereabouts is encouraged to contact the St. Charles County Police Department Crime Tip Line at 636-949-3002.
