LINCOLN COUNTY (KMOV.com) – A heroin overdose in Lincoln County led to the arrest of a Florissant man accused of selling and distributing drugs.

Lincoln County paramedics responded to a report of a 23-year-old man having trouble breathing in a residence near Woodmark Manor on Jan. 20. Upon arrival, first responders gave the victim Narcan, a medication that can reverse the effects of heroin overdoses.

The victim was transported to a hospital for further treatment.

Investigators discovered the victim had several conversations with 23-year-old Joshua Moore, of Florissant, about where he can get heroin in Florissant.

Police said Moore admitted to selling drugs to the victim the morning of the overdose as police took him into custody.

Moore had an undisclosed amount of heroin on him during the time of the arrest, according to authorities.

Moore is currently charged with felony assault and in custody at the Lincoln County jail under a $25,000 bond.
