BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A retirement community employee is accused of stealing at least seven residents’ identities and using their personal information to set up his utility bills.

Christopher Rhodes allegedly took the personal information, including names and Social Security numbers, of residents at the St. Paul’s Senior Community in Belleville. He is accused of using the stolen information to set up gas, water, satellite television and electric service at his own home.

According to court documents, Rhodes took the information and used it from 2012 through July 2017.

When police searched Rhodes’ home they reportedly found the stolen information and utility bills with the residents’ names on them.

Rhodes, who is set to be arraigned in February, has been charged with two counts of aggravated identity theft and three counts of wire fraud.
