DES PERES, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police want residents to watch out for a man who they say has broken into at least two West County homes.

The message is being heard loud and clear for people who live on Kendon Drive in Des Peres.

Officers tell News 4 the man they want to catch drives a green truck and wears a traffic safety vest.

Des Peres investigators tell News 4 a woman who lives on Kendon Dr. found herself face-to-face with a man she did not know.

Zoe DePenaloza lives a few doors away with her children, but she's concerned for all children in the neighborhood.

"They walk to school. They walk to practices. They walk to church," said DePenaloza.

Des Peres police say a man, driving a green truck and wearing a traffic safety vest, knocked on DePenaloza's neighbor's door.

When the woman tried to answer, police say the man became aggressive and tried to force himself inside.

Neighbors recalled a man getting to someone's back door, a few blocks over, last week.

"He was there. He was seen going up to the door and going to the back of the house. It doesn't necessarily make him a suspect," said Des Peres Police Captain Shawn Quinn.

Police considered the man that neighbors reported seeing drive a green truck and wear a vest, only as a person of interest.

Officers now consider the man a suspect.

"At this point, in time, we are just keeping our eyes open a little bit more", added DePenaloza.

A Des Peres police captain said investigators are talking with residents in various neighborhoods to get enough information to create a composite sketch of the suspect.
