University City Police investigating forced-entry home burglary

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

University City Police are investigating a burglary that happened early Friday morning in the 6900 block of Plymouth Avenue.

Police say, four suspects, who were all wearing masks, forced their way into the female victim's residence with weapons and demanded money from the woman.

During the incident the female victim’s boyfriend and friend arrived and were assaulted by the suspects. Several shots were fired inside the home to intimidate the victims, according to police.

Police say, the suspects stole electronic items and fled the scene.

Two of the victims were taken to an area hospital and were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The University City Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident and anyone with information is asked to call the Department at 314-725-2211.
