Wood River Police looking for suspect involved in multiple car thefts

WOOD RIVER (KMOV.com) -

The Wood River Police Department is searching for a 24-year-old man involved in multiple vehicle thefts, according to police.

Aaron S. Kelley is facing felony charges and his bond is set at $73,000. Kelley is not currently in custody.

The police department says on Wednesday, Jan. 10, authorities received a report about a vehicle stolen from a driveway in the 500 block of 13th St. The vehicle was left running and unlocked for a short period of time.

On Thursday around 2 p.m., Alton police found the vehicle on a nearby Shop N’ Save lot.

At 4:54 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle was left running and unlocked outside Petro Mart at 980 E Ferguson. The vehicle was stolen and the suspect is identified as Kelley.

The second vehicle has not been found. It is described as a white 2001 Ford Expedition with Illinois license plate Z530475.
