ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A suspect is on the loose after he locked a salesperson outside a car and drove off Tuesday morning.

St. Louis County officers said the suspect walked into a car dealership around 10 a.m. and told the salesperson he wanted to buy a car for his girlfriend. After the salesperson took the suspect to a vehicle, the suspect locked the salesperson out and drove off the lot. The suspect was last seen driving the stolen vehicle east on Page.

The suspect, who is described as being 5-foot-10 with dark short hair and a small mustache, reportedly has a very prominent skin tag near his left. He was wearing a tan Polo brand jacket, green gloves and dark pants at the time of the theft.

Anyone with information could contact Ofc. Lawrence at 636-529-8210.
