GameStop robbery suspect charged after leading police on chase

ST. LOUIS, Mo., (KMOV.com) – Charges have been issued against 20-year-old Donte Mann for his alleged involvement in an armed robbery that took place at a GameStop in North County.

Police say Mann entered a GameStop Tuesday night and demanded money from a store employee at gunpoint. 

During the robbery, Mann was given cash and within minutes police were pursuing the suspect. 

At 8 p.m., St. Louis County police responded to the 8000 block of West Florissant Ave for a report of an armed robbery at GameStop.

Upon arriving in the area, police said noticed a vehicle that matched the description of suspect’s car and attempted to stop the vehicle.  Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver fled.   The suspect struck a utility pole and dumpster near the 5900 block of Delmar.

The suspect was uninjured, police said.

Police said they found a mask, firearms, and items stolen in the robbery in the vehicle.

Three police vehicles were damaged during the pursuit. Two St. Louis County vehicles were struck by a police car that was assisting with the chase.

No officers were injured.

Mann faces one count of robbery, one count of armed criminal action,and one count of resisting/interfering with arrest for a felony. He is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond.
