ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A former Ferguson spokesman and local television news reporter, Jeff Small, was charged with felony drug possession.

On Jan. 6, a St. Louis officer pulled over Small for operating a vehicle on Manchester Rd. without a front right headlight. The officer said before he had a chance to activate his light, Small entered a parking lot, got out of his vehicle, and approached the officer’s patrol car.

After speaking with the officer, he said he learned Small has active bench warrants in multiple jurisdictions in Missouri.

Based on the warrants, Small was placed under arrest. The officer searched Small and found a ziplock bag with a crystal-like substance, believed to be illegal narcotics.

Additionally, the search revealed two glass smoking pipes. Later lab results revealed the substance to be Methamphetamine.

Small is facing charges of one count of possession of controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
