FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A man accused of shooting and killing a man in Franklin County has been charged.

Wesley Tatom, 24, from Salem, Mo. is charged with second-degree murder.

Police said they received a call around 9 p.m. Friday for a gunshot in the 1200 block of Wardfield Rd. in Robertsville.

Police said a couple heard a strange noise outside their home, so the man, 46-year-old Darrell Johnson, went outside to investigate and noticed two cars parked on his property.

Johnson was unresponsive when officers arrived, and a deputy began CPR and continued until EMS arrived.

Johnson was taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri and later died.

So far, there are no suspects in the shooting.

Tatom was later arrested in Waterloo, Illinois police said. He is being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
