SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – J.C. Penney in Hampton Village will be permanently closed on Jan 21.
The store operated in St. Louis for almost 70 years and a liquidation sale will begin Jan. 2.
The company announced in February, up to 140 stores will be closing as well as two distributions centers over the next several months.
Current employees will be relocated to other stores in the St. Louis area.
