This 6-year-old wrote a very skeptical letter to Santa. Now it's gone viral with over 27 thousand retweets.
The letter was first shared on Twitter by his mother, NPR reporter Sarah McCammon.
My 6yo Santa skeptic was told to write a letter to Santa at school. So he did... pic.twitter.com/XUFGMnXDFT— Sarah McCammon NPR (@sarahmccammon) December 3, 2017
He begins the letter by telling Santa, he's only writing the letter because he has to, as part of a class assignment. He says he knows Santa's naughty list is empty, his nice list is empty, and even his life is empty.
He even concludes the letter with a cold "Good bye", and signs the letter with "I'm not telling you my name." The letter is also decorated with drawings of a Christmas tree, holiday wreaths, and in the right margin -- several skulls.
Here's the full text of the letter
Santa Im only doing this for the class. I know your notty list is emty. And your good list is emty. and your life is emty. You dont know the trouble Ive had in my life. Good bye.
Im not telling you my name"
McCammon replied to the tweet explaining what her son is referring to when he mentions the trouble he's had in his life. She said, "PS - the "troubles" in his life? His brother. Don't call child services."
