FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Nursing home workers at the Christian Care Home in Ferguson are officially on strike.

Employees gathered outside the facility Thursday afternoon. Workers say they are stretched to the limit and it’s affecting patients every day.

They say the home’s owners are violating labor laws and refuse to negotiate with the facility’s 100 workers.

“We’re talking about child care issues, trying to get to work because they’re changing our schedules, cancelling vacations, not allowing us to take our vacations you know,” said Brenda Davis, employee at Christian Care Home.

The workers are members of SEIU Healthcare Missouri and Kansas. The employees have a total of 13 grievances against the owners.
