WILDWOOD, Mo (KMOV.com) -

A Wildwood teen beat out thousands of teens for the chance to play at the legendary Augusta National Country Club in April.

Brooke Biermann started playing golf when she was eight and hasn’t stopped since.

Now 14, she’s dreamed of one day going to the place where the best of the best compete in the Masters of Golf Tournament.

“Every single year I watch it on TV and it's just awesome,” said Biermann.

Biermann tried out for the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship three times before she finally secured a spot as one of 80 finalists to compete in April, just a week before the Masters.

“This year I just like my whole like mentality or what I was thinking about was ‘who cares if you win or lose?’” she said.

She’s been practicing every day with her coach and plans to keep practicing through winter and spring up until the championship.

“Sometimes when I'm in the putting green,” she said, “I imagine myself making the last putt of the US Open and winning.”
