Car crash in Franklin County kills 86-year-old New Haven man

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

An elderly man was killed during a car crash in Franklin County Saturday morning.

Robert Lang, 86, of New Haven, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident happened Saturday around 8:15 a.m. on Westbound Route KK just west of St. Anns Road.

Police said Lang was driving Eastbound on Route KK when his vehicle began sliding and crossed the center of the roadway. His car struck an oncoming vehicle traveling Westbound.

Lang was traveling alone and was wearing his seat belt, according to police. The driver and passenger in the other vehicle are listed as in moderate and serious condition, respectively. Both were wearing their seat belts.
