"The bullet that came through hit her right here," said Mary Ann Borney.

Mary Ann Borney says shots were fired into her Baden home back in June 2012 .

Her 22-year-old daughter, Tanieshia, was in the living room putting her 8-month-old son to sleep when she lost her life.

"It's like you left a killer out here on the street to hurt somebody else," said Borney.

Borney believes she knows who killed her daughter.

She told News 4 no one's been arrested because of a lack of evidence.

"Does somebody out there knows what happened?" asked News 4's Eric Cox.

"Yes, somebody knows what happened and I wish that they would come forward," said Borney.

With each passing day, Borney becomes more worried about what might happen with Tanieshia's murderer still on the loose.

"Are you afraid?" asked News 4's Eric Cox

"Yes, I am," said Borney. "I am, I'm afraid every day I walk out my door."

Yet, the fear doesn't keep Borney from moving forward.

"I take it one day at a time and I see her through him (her grandson)," said Borney. "I know she's here."

Her daughter's spirit still present as she raises her grandson.

"He's 6-years-old and now he's asking questions," said Borney. "He wants to know why somebody would kill his mother."

"How do you answer those questions?" asked News 4's Eric Cox.

"I don't because I haven't found a way to yet," said Borney.

Five years later, Borney has let go of her hurt but not her resolve for justice.

"I forgave him a long time ago, but you still have to pay for what you did," said Borney.

Borney asks anyone with information on her daughter's murder to please contact the Crimestoppers anonymous tips line at 1-866-371-TIPS.
