ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A new St. Louis-based company is hoping to set the athletic fashion world on fire with a new line of edgy golf clothing.

Sisters Kim Tuttle and Kari Schindehette say they are on a mission take on what they call the male-dominated world of golf.

The sisters, along with another female family member, created a trendy line of golf apparel for women called Motherputter.

The sisters said they wanted a name just as edgy and rebellious as their clothing line, and one that signals “girl power.”

The line includes Items such as dresses, polos, vests and skorts, in which they mix textures and prints to give an edgy and rebel type of vibe.

The sisters say they want you to be fashion forward on the fairway.

The women say it's not just about looks, but they also hope to create a community of women to share golf tips, practice and play together, much like what is done with other sports.

Motherputter is currently an online venture, but the sisters hope to get the line into pro shops around St. Louis and have pop-up boutiques.
