ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) teamed up with Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant a young girl’s wish of experiencing an SLSO concert.

Faith, who is 8-years-old, was born with SOX2 anophthalmia syndrome. The genetic condition has left Faith blind and with limited mobility.

Faith’s mother Bridget say’s the life of her daughter can be a “struggle,” but music has been a “great motivator.”

On October 8, SLSO musicians performed for Faith, along with family and friends, at St. Francis Xavier College Church.

“To see the string quartet and vocalist so dedicated to making this happen for her was special to us,” Bridget said.

The members of the SLSO were “honored” to play for one of their fans.

“Anytime we can touch anyone it is special,” said Beth Guterman Chu, SLSO violist. “To know that was Faith’s dream, it was a real high point for me.”

Faith’s wish also included a private concert in her living room.

“This was just a great opportunity to see how much Faith is loved by so many people,” said Bridget.
