CHESTERFIELD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Fans of ‘Stranger Things’ know all to well of the happenings of Hawkins, Indiana. Whether there are children gone missing, girls who can flip cars with their mind, or ‘demi-dogs’ taking over a science lab; there is never a dull moment in the small town.

Chesterfield, Missouri is another small town with ‘strange’ occurrences but not ones quite like Hawkins. The Chesterfield Police Department has noticed a recent rise in car break-ins and they are drawing inspiration from the hit show to help spread their message.

The Chesterfield Police Department created this fun video to remind residents to lock their cars and to not leave things in plain sight in their vehicles.

Viewers of the show know that the messages spelled out in the Christmas lights are supposed to be warnings from the ‘upside down’. Police ask to take heed of their warning and lock your vehicles!
