WARRENTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A person was struck and killed in Warrenton Friday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Christopher Robbins, 21, was walking westbound on the North Outer Road near Interstate 70 west of Deerfield Lane when he was struck around 5:30 a.m. by a vehicle traveling eastbound.

Officials believe Robbins' vehicle may have broken down, which is why he was walking on the roadway.

A vehicle believed to belong to Robbins was found about a mile from where he was struck.
