ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – Two gun stores in St. Louis County were burglarized overnight.

The first burglary occurred around 2 a.m. Friday at Triple Threat Armory on Gravois Road.

Officers from St. Louis County’s Affton Southwest Precinct were called to the store after thieves got away with ammo, gun magazines, clips and a laptop, according to the store’s co-owner.

About an hour later, officers went to the On Target gun store on Vance Road in Valley Park.

Police told News 4 the thieves shattered a glass pane at the business and took 14 handguns and one shotgun.

The burglaries come at a bad time because hunting season is just ramping up. The lost sales at the height of the season are particularly impactful.

It is currently unknown if the two burglaries are connected.

No other details have been released regarding either incident.

Anyone with details regarding either burglary is asked to contact police at 636-529-8210 or CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-8477.
