Some local schools have a new take on desks.
At Barretts Elementary School in Manchester, this is the first year for flexible seating, which features couches, bean-bag chairs and even low tables with no seats.
Teachers say it so popular that students are coming to school early.
“They come to work early because they want to pick the best spot, get right to work because they have comfortable places to work in the classroom,” said teacher Melanie Wood.
Teachers said they got the idea after attending a workshop last spring.
