ARNOLD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A man and his girlfriend were arrested in Carbondale, Illinois after allegedly robbing a Subway in Arnold.

On Nov. 7 at 8 p.m., Tyler Johnson allegedly had a semi-automatic gun when he ordered an employee to open the cash register and put the money in a plastic bag he brought with him. The suspect then took the cordless phone’s receiver and left the store.

After leaving the Subway, Johnson got into a white Dodge Intrepid that belongs to his girlfriend, Elizabeth Kurtzeborn, according to police.

Then, around 3 a.m. on Nov. 13, Kurtzeborn was seen on video entering a Title Max loan store on Jeffco Boulevard. Shortly after she entered, Johnson entered and pointed a gun at the clerk while demanding she gives him money from the day’s receipt. When the clerk opened the drawer, Johnson allegedly took the money and put it in a plastic bag he brought with him.

Kurtzeborn and Johnson are then seen on video leaving the store and entering a Dodge Challenger.

The duo was later arrested in Carbondale. Some of the stolen money and other evidence were found to be in their possession. They are also suspected in robberies that occurred in Webster Groves, St. Louis County and Rolla.
