ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Il (KMOV.com) -- A Metro East man faces multiple charges after reportedly passing out behind the wheel of his car.

At 3 a.m. on November 4, officers discovered 24-year-old Roosevelt Jones at the intersection of Old Collinsville Road and U.S. Highway 50. He had been stopped at a red light, and when the light changed, all other cars went around him while he remained stopped.

When the officers approached the car, they say they found Jones passed out in the driver’s seat with the car still on and in gear. He had his foot on the brake and music was blaring.

Police say they smelled alcohol when they woke Jones and upon telling him he was under arrest, he resisted being handcuffed.

Upon testing, it was revealed Jones’ blood alcohol level was .185. He’s charged with a DUI, as well as other crimes related to the incident.
