Bridgeton Police give ‘all clear’ on suspicious object left at bank

BRIDGETON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit gave the all-clear after a suspicious object was found at the front entrance of a U.S. Bank.

Around 9 a.m. Bridgeton Police were called to the bank located at 12375 St. Charles Rock Rd. to investigate the object. Police say the object appeared to resemble an explosive device.

The bank and surrounding area was evacuated while the St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit responded.

It was determined the object was not a bomb and the scene was cleared around noon.

Bridgeton detectives are actively investigating this incident.
