OVERLAND, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The Overland Police Department is asking for help finding the man who reportedly grabbed a teenage girl as she was walking home from school Wednesday night.

The 16-year-old told police she was walking home from school when the unknown man parked his car behind her around 8 p.m. The suspect then got out of the car, approached the girl from behind and grabbed her arm.

The girl pulled her arm away from the man and ran.

After the girl ran away, the suspect went back to his car, did a U-turn and was last seen driving north on Burns from Tennyson.

The suspect is described as a “tan,” possibly dark complexion, Hispanic or light-skinned man about 6-foot tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood and driving a black, newer model passenger vehicle.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Overland Police Detective Bureau at 314-428-4760, 314-428-1212 or email tips@overlandmo.org.
