ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Brenda Warner, the wife of former Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, came back into St. Louis Thursday to help kick off the 17th annual Warner’s Warm Up Coat Drive.

“A kid at a bus stop or a veteran walking the street, it doesn’t matter, everyone needs a coat,” Brenda Warner said.

The Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation is collecting new and gently used coats at more than 600 locations throughout the St. Louis area through November 14.

“It amazes me that when we put out the call because of need, every single coat every year is given away and we still get some calls come in that we need more coats,” Warner said.

If you can’t donate a coat, money is also accepted. A $15 donation will cover the cost of a coat for a child.

Operation Food Search is helping with the coat drive. They will make sure the coats are cleaned and get to the schools, social service agencies and homeless shelters.
