BALLWIN, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- In just 20 days, the specially built smart home will be move-in ready for injured Ballwin police officer Michael Flamion and his family.

The Gary Sinise Foundation is building the custom home that will help Flamion move about in his wheelchair.

The dedication ceremony will be November 21, something the entire police department has been looking forward to.

"Officers are always checking in on the building,” said assistant police chief John Bergfeld.

There will be some road closures during the dedication.

Holloway Road between Kehrs Mill and Seven Trails will be temporarily closed. The closure will begin at approximately 8 p.m. on Monday, November 20 and the roadway should reopen at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Drivers should use Seven Trails Drive as a detour to access Holloway Road.

The Dedication Ceremony is open to the public and shuttle services will be offered from the Target parking lot located at 15025 Manchester Road, as well as the Hobby Lobby Parking lot located at 14650 Manchester Road.
