Second suspect arrested for New Year's Eve armed robbery in Shiloh

SHILOH, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

A second suspect has been arrested for an armed robbery in Shiloh that happened on New Year's Eve.

Police said the suspect, 19-year-old Demetric Pointer of Cahokia, was taken into custody Oct. 19. He has been charged with armed robbery. Pointer's bond is set at $150,000, and he is currently being held in the St. Clair County jail.

The incident happened Dec. 31, 2016 in the evening when the Shiloh Police Department responded to a call for an armed robbery at an apartment in the 500 block of Williamsburg Drive. Police said two residents reported being robbed at gunpoint. The two victims had welcomed the two suspects into their apartment, as one suspect was a friend of theirs. Police said no one was harmed in the incident.

The first suspect, 22-year-old Juston Addison of Cahokia, was arrested Jan. 5, 2017.
